"It would seem that everyone should have the right of free speech and everyone should be tolerated, unless the everyone happens to be a Christian who is saying and believing things that they do not agree with."

Great quote! I had read Josh McDowell's "The New Tolerance" about 6-7 years ago when I first heard a quote like this. It's the anti-tolerance tolerance.

"The only way to consider Kirk Cameron as antiquated, out dated, and out of step is to consider God as antiquated, outdated, and out of step."

Another great quote. It's so helpful to take this debate off of the person, like Kirk Cameron, and refocus it back on who he claims to be following -- God. I love that you do the same when you preach, simply pointing back to the Bible and saying: "if you have a problem with this, take it up with God. He said it."

As a believer, there is nothing that I could add to this great article. It is very well said! And as a former atheist/agnostic, I really do believe in hindsight that I actually did believe in God, I was just fighting hard against Him. I would try to tell myself that I was fighting to create a world where theism was no longer taught and we could "move on with human progress." In reality, "human progress" has gotten us nowhere without God, and I was really fighting the idea that God has made me and should have complete control over my life's direction.

I really feel that this whole idea was based on my own moral rebellion and arrogance (Rom 1:21-22), but it was also based on a false idea of who God really is and His heart toward me (Rom 1:23). On one part, God had to humble me with His power, glory, and perfect awesomeness and my lack of it through sin (Rom 3:23), and then He showed me His character, love, and heart toward me through Jesus' life and death on the cross (Rom 5:8). That sold me for good, and I really needed His free gift of eternal life (Rom 6:23). I knew I needed to give control of my life over to the Lord of all (Rom 10:9-10). Wow, this Roman Road thing still works, even today. Thanks for the article!

It's time for Christians to come out of the closet. Everyone else is that shouldn't, so we need to stand up for what is right. Why is it that so many believe that there is a God, but live as if there is not?

The sphere of tolerance is continuously being expanded.

Therefore, suddenly, what I believe in and what I stand for is now an outrage because our government and her people have been "tolerating" for far too long.

Now if we say “Right is right and wrong is wrong”... we are labeled “haters”, "offensive", "narrow minded", "intolerant" and "exclusive".

The fact that we all fall short of God’s plan is a fact. When we are forced to accept the attempt of some to not only completely disregard God’s design but insist we replace it with one of complete tolerance and permissiveness, “tolerance” then becomes a disease.

All of this can not possibly make God happy…

Psalm 80:16b
“May they perish at the sight of your frown.”
